The number \(31\) in base \(8\) is equal to the number \(25\) in base \(10.\)
$$ 31_8 = 25_{10} $$
This is because a "ten" would equal \(8\) instead of \(10\) in base \(8,\) so three tens would equal \(3 \times 8 = 24.\)
Add the \(1,\) and that gives you \(25!\)
