Notifications: Is there a way to stop notifications on every thread?

Is there a way to stop notifications on every thread? I know that there is a button to turn off notifications for one thread, but if new threads are going to keep being added by other users, won't my notifications and unread get extremely cluttered?

@Potato2017 Thanks for your comment. I'll look into this and see if there is a way to do this! Personally, for me, I don't look at the notifications; I just look at the recent posts for updates, by clicking on the icon on the top.

@Potato2017 You can also click "Mark All Notifications Unread" after browsing all of your notifications very briefly.

Do you mean "Mark All Notifications Read" instead of unread?

@debbie oh yeah thanks. i was referring to the unread section. is there a way to automatically mark every new thread as not watching?

@Potato2017 I just read all my notifications because I don't get much. Only around 5-10 a day.
