So I'm learning Earth Science right now in school and one topic we learned was about space and we use this thing called the Earth Science Reference table and but then when I was learning this I just look at the Earth Science Reference table thinking that we didn't have to use math but then I got it wrong so I'm now just very confused. 87079fd2-48b4-42bc-9d8b-27460fd3e737-image.png 00f1c4bc-b057-4a63-8ce9-fccae04dbe34-image.png

Hey, @todymaster, that's pretty interesting. Do you know how old the reference sheet is? That might affect its accuracy. Doing a quick search on google ("how long is an astronomical year"), I'm getting that it's 365.24 days, according to timeanddate.com.

But way to go for using what you learned in class! It's awesome that you're connecting everything that you're learning together. I would say that in class, if the reference sheet says that a full revolution happens in 365.26 days, use that on the tests in class. But here, I hope you were able to follow through the problem and understand how we got to 365.24 by just using the leap day information 🙂

@quacker88 It says on the pdf that it was made in 2010. http://www.p12.nysed.gov/assessment/reftable/earthscience-rt/arch-esrt/2010/esrt2010-engw.pdf
