Bug? For some reason, every time I click confirm on a mini question, it brings me to the bottom of the page
-
I use Google Chrome, and it happens in Modules 1, 2, 3, and 5(I think). Also, it's been going on for a while (2 weeks?), I was just too lazy to post about it.
-
Also, how come the bar on the top (with the categories, unread, recent, tags, popular, and users) isn't centered anymore?
-
@divinedolphin That's weird; I still can't seem to recreate this bug. Thanks for the information! Do you happen to know what version number of Chrome you are using?
-
@debbie Could you please try opening an incognito window and see if this error still occurs? Thank you so much!
-
@debbie It still does it in incognito and guest windows.
-
@debbie It automatically brings you to the bottom of the page when I use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. I haven't tried using an incognito tab but I don't think it will work there either
-
@sqwishy Thank you guys.. I've asked Thinkific (our course platform) about this issue, and I'll update when I hear back from them. In the meantime, if you notice this happening on any other browsers, please let me know! Thank you so much!
-
It doesn't bring you to the bottom of the page on Firefox!
-
@divinedolphin Thank you! I'm using Chrome and I haven't ever experienced this problem. Did it only start a few weeks ago? Has anyone tried Safari?
-
I just realized how you can prevent it from making you scroll! I'm using a bigger monitor right now and I don't have to scroll to click the Confirm button, and it's not automatically sending me to the bottom of the page. Before, I had to scroll down before I could click the confirm button. However, before this bug started, whether or not you had to scroll down didn't matter at all. \(\footnotesize {\text{Sorry if you didn't understand what I just wrote.}}\)
-
@debbie Safari is fine, doesn't bring you to the bottom of the page even if you scrolled to click confirm.
-
@debbie I use google and it has never happened to me, I never knew it was an issue.
-
@CoherentMango Thank you to everyone for the helpful info!! I did write to Thinkific a long time ago, and they said that they couldn't see this issue. Please keep me posted on when/if this bug arises again.

Is it possible to send a video on this forum? I made a screen recording of this bug but I don't know how to post it.
-
@divinedolphin Thank you for taking the time to make a video! It seems that the "upload file" permission is disabled for our forum, so that probably means that it's not possible to upload or embed a video clip. I suppose the only way to include the video would be to upload it to Youtube and link to it from there. I'm not sure what the reason is for the no-upload policy, whether it's due to server space limit or something else. I'm sorry for the inconvenience!
From reading the posts, it looks like you have experienced this bug on Chrome, but this bug doesn't seem to occur on Firefox or Safari, is that right?
-
@divinedolphin Or maybe you could upload it as a Google Drive link?
-
@amiabletiger I didn't think of that! That's possible too, as long as there are no privacy issues involved.

-
@divinedolphin Thank you so much! Is it okay if I share this link with Thinkific customer support? This might really help to troubleshoot the problem!
-
Sure! Just that there's a bit of a spoiler for Prof. Loh's course.
