If you're interested in learning Java, I would recommend the course found here: https://java-programming.mooc.fi/
It's a free, open-source introduction to Java that I took a few years back. It's not super high level, and it gave me a leg up on my early undergraduate computer science classes.

@bulba_bulbasaur I've heard that p5js.org is a good place for writing Java scripts, and there are built-in libraries... And also openprocessing.org.
(They are ideally for people who already know how to program but need a place to run their scripts... But you can also look at other people's programs and learn some commands that way!) -
