Do any of you guys study programming?
-
@sqwishy It's okay, I only started learning Python seriously this summer vacay...Anyway, ur obviously better at math than me. R U in middle school or Highschool? I'm in gr 7(well gr 8 in sept)
-
@sqwishy it’s alright, there’s a Python beginner here too! (And they don’t even know Java)
(Hint: it’s me) -
@RZ923 haha, ya...I've heard Java's rlly hard tho
-
@Nate Wow, thank you so muchhh! I'm still struggling with Python tho...It requires a lot of logic and mindwork
-
Was the downvote option disabled? Also yea I only know a tiny bit of html and a little tagscript.
-
@The-Blade-Dancer Yup, Debbie posted a topic that said that the downvote option was disabled

Take your time with it! It gets easier as you go, and as with most things in life, it gets easier as you learn more math!
-
@Nate Yeah, true enough...
-
Can we like put this with a tag so everyone knows where we can find coding stuff

If you're interested in learning Java, I would recommend the course found here: https://java-programming.mooc.fi/
It's a free, open-source introduction to Java that I took a few years back. It's not super high level, and it gave me a leg up on my early undergraduate computer science classes.
-
@amiabletiger I know a little bit of python syntax but I still believe algorithms are the most important
-
I'm currently learning C++. I'm hoping I can someday do USACO.
-
I know some Python though and I do Scratch

same but only scratch lol
-
Well, I learn a very little bit in my school,but I'm not really good at it.
-
It's fine. Everyone starts from the bottom.

@bulba_bulbasaur
Ooh! What's your Scratch username? -
@bulba_bulbasaur I've heard that p5js.org is a good place for writing Java scripts, and there are built-in libraries... And also openprocessing.org. (They are ideally for people who already know how to program but need a place to run their scripts... But you can also look at other people's programs and learn some commands that way!)
-
@victoria_huang its my forum username lol
-
I'm thinking of registering a scratch account cause I know scratch but I don't have an account yet...
