    Why is the ratio 3^9/2^9 not 3^8/2^8?

      The answer to this problem is 3^9/2^9, however, in the problem, it states that the start of both geometric sequences is 1. Therefore, shouldn't the 9th term of the sequence be 2^8 and 3^8 respectively.

      So, the ratio of the second sequence 9th term and the first sequence 9th term should be 3^9/2^9, right?
