Why are these squares called "magic" squares? What is so magic about them? They are fun to play with, but just checking I haven't missed something if the word "magic" appears in their name.

You can ignore this question. I see Professor Loh answered it. It is called "magic" because all the rows and columns and diagonals all add up to the same number.
