So I heard that USAMO is a 9-hour test split across 2 days. I wonder how this is done; do the organizers, like, lock teenagers in a room and give the problems to them, and when they come out, brainwash them about the competition or something?

According to my understanding, each day is 4.5 hours, with 3 problems each. Problem 1<Problem 2<Problem 3 and Problem 4<Problem 5<Problem 6, difficulty-wise. Also, why would they brainwash them, wouldn't they lose the memory of formulas? 🤔

But I get your joke 😆
