  Notice how if we were to sort our numbers in order we get 0.7955 0.7965 0.7975 0.7985 and 0.7995. Each 0.0010 away from each other with 0.7975 as the middle. Note then how 0.7955 + 0.7995 = 2(0.7975) and 0.7965 + 0.7985 is also equal to 2(0.7975) with this we get a simple 5 * 0.7975 which greatly simplifies things in this problem. This gets us the final 3.9875. Sure, this calculation is not easy to make, but it can still be simplified with 50.8 - 50.0025 this gets us 4 - 0.0125 = 3.9875. This I feel is generally easier to do in this case, please correct me if I got something wrong here. 😄

  For this problem a solution that could possibly be used is using divisibility rules. Note how 117 is a multiple of 9 which automatically means that and number that 117 multiplies (in this case 113) Has to be a multiple of 9 as well. Note then how only i.) is a multiple of 9 out of all three solutions, therefore the only possible solution.

  It is still supposed to be a=b=4.
  The reason is because if "a" and "b" are both 4, then a shorter way of writing it is a=b=4.

  $${4+4 \over 2}=4 $$

  where the first is "a" and second is "b"
